Welcome, welcome, welcome to our 2014 flower season! This is what we came for. Farming is kind of like a big show. You prepare and prepare and prepare and put the right things in place and get ready to perform, and then you just do it. Some parts turn out beautifully. Some parts are totally not what you expected. And when one part isn't working, another usually comes through and picks up the slack. It's wonderful, surprising, sometimes heartbreaking, and always very gratifying.

Important dates...Saturday, July 19, Eat Local Farm Tour. Come and visit, make flower child wreaths with your kiddo, and pick some flowers of course. Also Saturday, August 16, 4--7 pm Humble Pie Farm Member Celebration. We want to celebrate you. Come down and let us!

Usually this will arrive in your inbox on Tuesday of each week. I'm a little behind, but am finding my rhythm. We are learning so much in this busy second year. Thank you so very much for your important part in our family flower farm. We are loving the beauties coming out of the field and hope you are too! More next time, but for now here is a family early morning harvest last week.
Our harvest helper, Earl Oakley.
