Hi friends!
It's been a slow start after a long spring. Kind of weird, but that seems to be the weather norm these days. We've had a few lovely days this week, and now it's actually pretty dry around here. So we irrigate. And so it goes.
We've felt grateful to have been missed by the worst of the storms coming through, but it's a strange feeling to watch the radar and feel so grateful as it misses us, but also know it's going towards other farmers we know.
The foxglove has blown up this week, and that's been delightful. Look for them in mixes, and we'll have some available for consumer bunches. Also lilies.
We made lots of bouquets considering it was the week of the 4th, and not such a big floral holiday. :) Also took a little time at our favorite backyard park, Nugget Lake County Park. We went canoeing, and spent some time just playing in the creek. It was great.
Next week we'll be sprucing up the farm to host the Eat Local Farm Tour. Come visit, we'd love to have you. Saturday, July 15, 10am-4pm.
Be well, enjoy the moments, and thanks as always for supporting our family farm.
